
The book started super strong and immediately pulled me into the story! There were so many questions I had a the beginning and that’s probably what hooked me so easily. I love me a good pirate adventure complete with a treasure hunt but unfortunately haven’t seen many YA pirate books around in the past so I was very eager to get to this one! And I was definitely not disappointed! So much so that I got plenty of weird stares in various public places because I couldn’t restrain myself from laughing out loud. Also pirates. It was a light, fast paced read full of excitement, adventure and plenty of humor that had me cracking up several times while reading it. Let me just say that I’ve had a really hard time finishing books these past few months due to a horrible reading slump and DotPK easily brought me out of it.
